Meet Cathleen Kong
Cathleen graduated in the top 5% of her high school class with an International Baccalaureate Diploma. During high school, she was President of the National Honor Society and tutoring club, showing her early passion for mentoring students.
At Princeton, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and received the Sigma Xi Book Award for Outstanding Undergraduate Research. As a Teaching Assistant for intro CS courses, she helped students during office hours and clarified complex coding assignments.
After graduation, Cathleen worked at Microsoft, where she developed analytics and educational software using C# and React, filed a patent, and supported women in tech through company-wide initiatives.
Now at Harvard, she’s focused on K–12 computer science and makerspace education, aiming to make CS learning more exploratory and exciting for younger students.
