Zach is a driven Princeton University student pursuing a degree in Operations Research and Financial Engineering, currently taking a gap year to conduct cutting-edge research at Old Dominion University's Center for Secure and Intelligent Systems. As part of a team sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy and Dominion Energy, he assists professors in developing cybersecurity solutions for wind turbine systems, honing his expertise in electrical engineering, computer science, and complex system modeling.
An exceptional scholar, Zach graduated high school with a 3.96 unweighted GPA (5.02 weighted) and scored 1540 on the SAT (790 EBRW/750 Math). His academic prowess is further demonstrated by his outstanding AP exam results, including seven perfect scores of 5 in Calculus BC, Spanish, Literature, Seminar, and other subjects. For his AP Research project, he collaborated with a Johnson & Johnson epidemiologist to evaluate medical data synthesis tools, presenting his findings at the prestigious OHDSI Global Symposium.
Beyond academics, Zach served as class president, captained both volleyball and lacrosse teams, and participated in the selective NSLI-Y program as a student ambassador. Passionate about holistic development, he incorporates his diverse interests in meditation, sports, and community engagement into his teaching philosophy, aiming to help students achieve both academic success and personal growth.
